The man shot by a UW-Oshkosh police officer was charged with two misdemeanors following an Wednesday incident. The officer remains on administrative leave while an investigation is conducted.

National

"Bias hampers women in science, study finds," Associated Press, Aug. 19.

In a report published in Science Magazine this week, a UW-Madison professor contends that few women in science rise to top-level jobs due to gender biases in their fields.

"Despite court ruling, UWM won't censor students, dean says," Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Aug. 19.

A June ruling that said university newspapers could be subject to the same censorship as high school newspapers will not affect UW-Milwaukee newspapers, according to the university's dean of students.
