Biography

Betty Womack is the assistant superintendent of pupil services with the Kettle Moraine school district, where she has worked since 1998. She has spent her career in the field of education--as counselor, administrator, and adjunct professor. She has contributed her time and skills to Wisconsin's education system as a member of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction task force to select statewide assessment criteria, National Merit Scholarship Selection Committee, Wisconsin Higher Educational Aids Board, Wisconsin ACT Advisory Board, Wisconsin task force to implement modified standards for assessing students with disabilities, and as a consultant for Wisconsin Department of Family and Human Services. In 2007, Womack was recognized with the Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators Service to Wisconsin Award. Actively involved in the community, she has served on the board of Hope Street Ministries and as project coordinator for Wings, a Milwaukee grassroots service organization. A graduate of Huston-Tillotson College, she also earned her master's degree in education from Sam Houston State University, and her doctorate in education from Cardinal Stritch University.
