Women's Issues Offices - UW System

The University of Wisconsin (UW) System Initiative on the Status of Women evaluates and works to improve aspects of university life as they relate to the status of women students, staff, faculty, and administrators.

The UW System Women's Studies Consortium serves as the formal organization of the fourteen campus-based Women's Studies programs and UW Extension. It works to ensure the continued development of Women's Studies in the UW System.

The Women and Science Program, housed at UW-Oshkosh, seeks to attract and retain more women and minority students in science, mathematics, and engineering by promoting systemic change in the ways that science and science education are regarded and carried out within the University of Wisconsin System. The main focus of the Program is on faculty development. Content, climate, and pedagogy are all addressed through program activities.

The UW System Women's Studies Librarian serves students, faculty, librarians, and administrators across the UW System. Located on the Madison campus, the office provides regular and special publications, reference assistance, and professional presentations and consultation relevant to curriculum and research in women's and gender studies.
