Sherrill Wagner is the administrative program specialist with the Funds for the Improvement of Secondary Education (FIPSE) Grant: "The Wisconsin Grassroots Teacher Quality Assessment Model: Large-Scale Assessment of Math and Science Content Knowledge in Student Teaching.”
Sherrill has past experience in education in the K-12 Wisconsin public school districts of Monona Grove as a 6-12 math, science and computer science teacher, Elmbrook (Brookfield/Elm Grove) as a district K-12 curriculum coordinator, and most recently in the Madison Metropolitan School District as an elementary school principal. Throughout this time, she demonstrated leadership in data driven school improvement practices, collaborative decision making, standards based instruction, and technology applications. Sherrill has also taught college-level courses in Wisconsin and North Dakota focusing on integrated math and science instruction, has served as a science and math consultant to school districts and CESA’s, and has served as a school program evaluator (School Evaluation Consortium – SEC). Sherrill continues to be active in the public schools as a regular volunteer in her neighborhood elementary school.
Sherrill holds MS and PhD degrees in Educational Administration from the UW-Madison with a minor concentration in Instructional Technology. She has an additional MS degree from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, and received her BS degree from the UW-Madison. Her Wisconsin Certifications include All Sciences 6-12, Computer Science 6-12, Mathematics 5-9, District Administrator, and Director of Instruction. She also holds licensure for Superintendent and Principal in the State of Arizona.
